How do you get this to work if you only keep it for 4 months?
Thought it's a 24 Month Bill credit?

"Get reimbursed over 24 months
Receive $27.09 off each bill for 24 months
The credit is tied to the person who activated the device"

Sorry for the ignorance but I'm new to Google Fi deals!

Is there a thread on SD to post referral codes?
No. Since it's against the rules, any post asking for or offering code will be deleted by a mod pretty quickly.

I've maxed out my Fi ref limit of 20 credits ($400), so it's not impossible to get there. On SD in particular, it's against forum rules to post requests for or offering codes. I got PMs from people who I had helped asking for my codes. Posting your code on Reddit or social sites are OK, but be careful with using one from those sites (especially from old posts) because the people who posted their codes might not be active on Fi any longer, or was active when you used their code but cancelled their Fi service before you reach 30 days of service.
I didn't know there was a referral limit. Is this a yearly limit or lifetime? I have 3 referrals (to come in a future statement) and two pending.

Info on ref limit here: https://fi.google.com/about/faq#c...-wireless? . I think it's lifetime per account. The limit is now 10. It was 20 for me. I'm not going to get credit for the last pending one.

As a brand new Google Fi customer, I am seeing the the 650 instant discount offer for S24U after the cancel monthly credit deal trick today, but for my personally it seems to be a better deal to buy from Samsung EDU directly -

Google Fi:
$650
$41 tax
$70-$80 for 4 month service (I am pessimistic as to getting enough referral credit to cover the next 4 months)
Total cost = ~$765 (or at best $725 if I can somehow get $40 referral credit)

Samsung EDU:
$710.51 (after $600 trade in credit for Galaxy Flip4, which I bought on ebay for $276 last week after seeing the launch day trade in credits). Tax included as I am picking up from a non-tax state Best Buy
$276 Flip4 cost
-$50 Rat**en CB
-$249 (approx) profit after flipping the included Watch6 Classic

Total cost = $682

Sure, buying from Samsung involves more work to resell the Watch 6 but there's the 711 Samsung rewards points, 6 month/2 month Microsoft 365/adobe Lightroom to consider. Plus the phone will be 100% unlocked with 0 risk on day 1 and it will be available to pick up on 1/31 (allegedly). versus 2/14-2/18 estimated shipping date for Google Fi and 4-month to wait to unlock.

Just putting this out there for others weighing their options.
I'd allocate at least a $100 for 4 month of Fi service. Fi deal on S24/S24+ is really attractive, S24U is decent, but if you're willing to jump through hoops can do better elsewhere. Higher trade-in values when buying Ultra and extras make the dfference.

For SDers who did the previous pre-order deals, how likely is it that fi will restock on the sold out models?

I was eyeing the 24+ but seems to be sold out now. I wanted to wait a bit instead of paying the extra 2 weeks of service. I guess that wait was not worth it.

Just checked and I have referred 14 people and $320 in total referrals.

Is the limit 10 people or $400? The T&C mentions both

I'm guessing I can switch one of the group members to group owner and start accruing referrals on a different account

Very likely. I wouldn't worry.

I just got in late on the deal as I needed to wait till the weekend was over to move money around (sucks). Do you know if they bring other colors back in stock if we can change the color on our order easily or is that not possible, or maybe just a big hassle?
You don't get charged on the phone until it ships.

No entirely true, they have charged me tax on date of order... perhaps because I am using the 24 months payment

I used Paypal on 1/17 and there's a pending charge for the phone. But it won't become an actual charge until shipped.
