I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Why? It was a promo.
Because it costs them like $1 to add memory but they charge you $120.

It is suppose to be printed in color. However, since the address label is marked with hazard warning and ground service, it may still go through the system fine. If you want to be safe then print it in color. I have not asked at the post office before, but you could potentially even call your local post office and see if they have stickers there at the desk that they could put on for you if you bring it in.
You can reuse the box they send you the s24 in, it already has the label on the box.

There is no need to activate any of the Moto G devices. Just power up, zip through the first ever setup (while offline) to get to the homescreen to ensure that there's no security locks or Google accounts tied to the device, and obviously inspect the phone for any major physical defects before sending her off.

Source: I did this for 3 preorders, 2 of which have already been inspected & accepted.
Finally a reply relating to (I assume) a shipped moto g play.

I just punched in the IMEI i sent for trade in into straight talks website (https://www.straighttalk.com/activation) and it says "this device is not eligible". So does that mean Walmart did not activate it?
Well fudge, both of mine can't be activated and my trade ins are already delivered. I can try the ticket method but geez wish I knew this earlier

Hi, has anyone updated the tradein device IMEI number - some how i typed in wrong, tried calling the customer care, but the lady was not helpful. Dose anyone know we we can update it or have experience on sending the device with different IMEI then what was submitted during order.
You should be fine. They don't care about IMEI. They care about whether the phone matches what you submitted. I have done this multiple times with spectrum and multiple times with random IMEI numbers and never had an issue.

So nobody that ordered a Walmart phone had been successful? I wonder if it's possible to change the trade in device on an existing order.

Hello!

In this forum I read that phone needs to be factory reset. If factory reset is the requirement, getting the phone setup up to "Home screen" will it be an issue? Thanks.

Side note: I have seen that Straighttalk phone that I bought from Walmart has SIM card inserted within the device itself. Not sure if that's the reason for rejection. A thought to share.

I am looking into getting insurance for my phone. I usually don't have phone insurance because I usually have a refurbished phone and it's not worth it. Anyway, anyone have any experience with the Allstate (Square Trade) service or would I be better off with Spectrum or Samsung coverage? Thanks

On Wednesday I went in and upgraded my daughter from her S22 to an S24. I traded in an old A12 I had lying around. Got $705 for that.

On Thursday I went back and upgraded our 'home' phone (just a line a to keep the number we've had for 30+ years and give us an extra gig of shared date) from a Pixel 4a to an S24. I traded in my daughter's old S22 and it was an even swap.

My wife has an iPhone Mini she doesn't want to give up as she wants to stay Apple and wants a small phone. I have a Pixel 7 Pro that I still owe a balance on and plan to upgrade to the 9 Pro in the fall so I have no other lines to upgrade. I read somewhere in the thread that you could upgrade the same line multiple times. Is that correct? I was thinking I could trade in the Pixel 4a for another S24 by upgrading my home line again. I did go back to the store Friday and asked about that and they said I couldn't do that but they didn't actually try in the system and just seemed like they were making an assumption versus knowing if that was the actual case. Is this something I should be able to do?

I think that was in store. Which is different. They don't check anything in store.

A while ago, I went to Straighttalk activation site where I entered IMEI number of the StraightTalk Moto G Play 2023 phone that I bought from Walmart. It did not complain about the IMEI number. I was prompted to login or setup a new account. Does it mean that Straighttalk considered my phone as legit? Thanks

Dropped my trade in S22 ultra on 26th. Live 10 miles from the spectrum warehouse. The device is still in transit. I'm afraid usps might have lost the phone 😰
