A while ago, I went to Straighttalk activation site where I entered IMEI number of the StraightTalk Moto G Play 2023 phone that I bought from Walmart. It did not complain about the IMEI number. I was prompted to login or setup a new account. Does it mean that Straighttalk considered my phone as legit? Thanks
yes it means good as long it let you continue to next step.

I got the "device not eligible" message from straight talk when trying to activate. Called straight talk and they said they can't do anything about it because it was purchased online from Walmart. They said even if they created a ticket for the issue they'd have no way of fixing this. They said to contact Walmart. It's possible they don't know wtf they are talking about. I'll try stopping by Walmart to see if they'll scan it for me. Otherwise I'll try to get a moto play from a different source. Or just back out of this shit. The order confirmation email states "As noted in our Return Policy, returns or exchanges must be requested within 14 days of shipment."

Will Walmart.com support be able to activate these cellphones?

There's something systemically wrong here - at least for store pickup orders - my 2 phones were not activated. Is that the same with everyone else that cannot activate? I spent 2 hours at the stores they cannot see what the serial is when scanned.

TracFone will create a ticket when you call them to upload proof of purchase at [email protected]

I'm screwed though since it will take 48 business hours to fix and my phone is already in the assessment phase

from a Walmart policy And credit card charge back point of view - I did not receive the product in its entirety. It'll be past the 14 day return policy at this point

Straight talk online support also confirmed they cannot assist.

I do not know if Walmart online can help. Haven't tried yet.

If you have the box you're fine. I sent in my box with my trade in since it included the safe for shipping packaging

So, they should be able to activate the phones in store if we kept the boxes?

I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
Yeah will try it out and if it sucks will trade in the 24 ultra to Samsung for the Fold 6.

Came from Walmart. They cannot active these phones that didn't activate in the first place. The only thing they can do is return rebuy. In other words a different IMEI. And so the question is if you can change the trade in device information with spectrum.

Just came from Walmart. They said it's a known issue. And they said no matter how many times they will scan these phones that do not active, they won't activate. The only thing they can do is return rebuy. So different IMEI.
