Just went to Walmart with the original motorola box and did a return and rebuy. Now the phone shows it will activate on the straight talk site, and also now have a paper receipt which shows the IMEI number on it in case theres any issues with the trade in.
Did you return and rebuy the phone at the returns section or at the mobile section? I am having the same issue with the phones I bought on walmart.com.

I also just returned from Walmart. I originally did a curbside pickup,so I don't think they scanned the phone to be activated before leaving the store. I just went back to Walmart returned and had the rescan and now it allows me to activate when I go to the Straight Talk activation page. I will always check the IMEI before sending in the phone in the future. Now I'm waiting on Spectrum to fix it on their end.

Both my devices were received by Assurant on 1/22 and the estimate assessment date was 1/24. Still No update.

I preordered the s24 ultra on the 30th. I was planning on shipping my trade in once I receive it. I got an email saying that it's on back order now. Should I ship the trade in now or wait until I receive the new device? Not sure how long it will be…

Not the one you were asking, but the returns counter made me do the return/rebuy at the mobile corner in the back of the store. Just be sure you ask them if you can return and rebuy that exact phone vs a new one. They did it for me and I checked the IMEI immediately to ensure it would start the activation process. It worked within a minute of paying again.

Most of mine are still stuck in transit...worst experience ever. USPS is a joke. The ones they do have still nothing.

Ship trade in now.. so it'll be processed by the time you get the new device.

This is insane. I think all of us affected by these delays should start calling/e-mailing and filing complaints against Spectrum, Assurant, USPS. At the very least if there are such significant delays and issues they should be contacting customers to let them know and offer alternative timelines and accommodations in terms of returns due to the issues on their end. Leaving us in the dark doing things like not scanning or providing updates on packages that are delivered/received is illegitimate and fraudulent.

I have had similar experience with Spectrum where their sales/retention people told me one thing but then the next day nothing they said was true. I was told one thing and then the next day when I followed up on it they claimed there was no notes from the previous person and acted like they could not do anything about it. Had to keep calling back requesting elevations until I got somebody who was willing to do something. So I definitely have very little trust with Spectrum. Anything that they tell you that is not part of their standard/system default should be taken with a grain of salt and prepare yourself for a headache.

This is why I am particularly concerned right now hitting the 14 day mark of the return period with Assurant not yet processing my trade in. Even if I call Spectrum and they tell me one thing how am I to trust what they are saying given the previous headaches?
Heck yeah. One phone rep told me "the last guy (that I spoke with for 1.5 hrs) probably made something up and wanted to leave for the day" which is basically admitting to a culture of lying to push customers away. I didn't let the last one go without a ticket number, something the last one "could not give me" OH because it didn't exist. It's a shame. I've been in love with their internet service and team, but mobile (sales) is a whole different story. Be kind but FIRM and you'll get the right things sorted out everyone.

I am returning both s24 and s24 ultra. Price is one thing and the reviews is another especially for s24 ultra. The market is flooded with resales too and dropping quickly. Besides that i cannot use until 60 days to get it unlocked on my primary. Goodluck you all..

You bought online and they let you return in store?
No bought it in store on release day. They had all the colors, gave up extra storage but worth it for less headache on trade.
