I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

If somebody is trying to flip these for a profit, why not just sell the S24's on e-bay or another site where you can sell phones? Your return on trade in is more effective if you trade in a $30-40 phone than if you send in your new S24. The $700 bonus will have more of any impact on a smaller value trade in than larger.

I am not saying one cannot flip the S24 for another S24, but if one is truly trying to optimize return then you can do better by selling the S24 elsewhere rather than sending it in to Assurant for another S24. You can always just send in a cheap $30-40 if you want to get another S24, you do not have to send in a new S24.
Phone is locked right now for most if not all. Sure rebuying resets the 60 day unlock but you net 200+ and after a new 60 days, sell the s24.

In store is where this promo really shines, no mailing the trade in. You just need to hope the store has them in stock and gives you Instant credit and hopefully no taxes, fees, or hassles.
Btw, do you know if they refund the overage too or just up to the purchase price? What I mean by this, for example, is if your order total is $800 but your trade in value is $1,000, will they be willing to refund all $1,000 or will they just refund $800 and the extra $200 has to stay on the account towards future cell service payments.

I am assuming they would refund it all as long as the device is paid in full, but would like confirmation from somebody who has done it.

I understand, I am simply saying if you are going to go through the process of another trade in with Spectrum, just do it with another $30-40 phone rather than trading in your new S24. You can net more profits that way. I understand the ease argument of just trading in the S24, I am just talking about somebody viewing this strictly from a potential profit standpoint.

I thought all models had the issue? Still no official response from Samsung.

Hello!

I have a question about in store trade in. Anyone has luck in trade in of phone that's not listed? If yes, did you get the credit back?

My store guy tells me that they ship the trade in phone and it takes 2-3 days to approve the trade in.

Please share some thoughts

Those issues apply to all s24 models. S24U users are just more vocal about it as they have higher expectations for top of the line phone and generaly are tech oriented people. So nothing to be glad about. Also nothing to worry about as the software update is coming soon and it will supposedly add Vivid color profile adjustment. I bought both models and my wife who is an average user woudn't notice those issues if I didn't show her.

I sent in my mint condition unlocked 256GB S22+ and that is nerve wracking. Since if it got lost in transit, you're not getting anything back obviously. And who knows how Assurant will handle the phone when they get it, and if they cancel it how they'll pack it when returning the phone if they reject the trade.

So yeah, not worth doing through the mail. But definitely in store.
I sent in my mint s22+ also and about 8 days after receiving they credited me the full amount.

- Selected S24+ 256GB model for 999.99$
- Traded in Xiomi A1 old international phone* .. valuated to 7$
- $999.99 + 75$ (local sales tax) - $700 (Trade in Discount) -$7 +$20 (new line activation fee) = $387.99 is the total price charged to credit card.

Points noted:
*yes, it seems any brand phone is acceptable at stores. Since he couldn't select this company, he randomly chose some cheaper Samsung phone model name but entered this Xiaomi IMEI number.\
He collected trade-in the phone then there itself. When I asked a question if the brand mismatch would violate trade-in, he said not to worry as my $700 has already been redeemed.

He said locked (to any carrier) phone is not a problem.
Also it seems mostly, Stores will get only the base storage pieces ( S24-128GB S24+ - 256 GB etc.) in stock due to high online demand for higher memory pieces.

Hope this information is helpful.
Assuming that your trade-in value is honored. Asking this because, I was told by store associate that they will send the phone to some vendor who will approve the trade-in value. Since, your device is not listed in the list, assuming that they didn't reject your trade-in.

Not really.. you'd be surprised how little you net on ebay after fees. People aren't buying a spectrum mobile branded s24 for anywhere close to msrp.

The trade in value Assurant is offering on brand new S24 base model is $415. If you cannot find a way to get paid more than $415 for a brand new S24 then I agree you should probably just stick with Spectrum/Assurant. My point above is that you would be better off trading in another $30-40 phone and getting two S24 devices and selling one or more of them elsewhere. Trading in an S24 for another S24 with Spectrum/Assurant is for ease not maximum return. There are plenty of places, even including e-bay with its fees, where you can do better.

Also curious how successful people are going to be trying to trade in S24s in Spectrum stores for other S24s.
