I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

You got a source for those rules/terms/policies? Spectrum's own website says the line and device are eligible for upgrade. Just because their software limits some arbitrary number of orders or trade-ins, doesn't mean any specific terms are violated. Go ahead and quote the policy, I'll wait.
It took me a few seconds to find this in the main Spectrum TOS:

"26. Spectrum's Reservation of Rights: Spectrum reserves the right to refuse, suspend or terminate Service to any person at any time for any reason not prohibited by law.'

If you truly believe that Spectrum will allow you to do what you did an unlimited number of times, then you should quit your job and spend every moment of your life now until the promotion is over trading in devices. Why would you not?

Reality is, you know that they would not permit that, you got lucky. Hence, my previous comments about the manager who permitted it, not you. There are people here who were not even permitted to do it once.

a data point for my journey on this deal

ordered on 1/27

shipped 1/30

delivered 1/31

shipped walmart moto g play 2023 trade-in on 2/2

assurant received phone on 2/5, assessment estimated completion 2/7

found out about people getting the failing the assessment because of antitheft because walmart didn't scan the phone properly

sent information in wiki to pop@tracfone end of day 2/5

on 2/8 assurant changes assessment date to 2/9

around 2/8 or so the phone could be activated on straight talk but no email back from tracfone (still no email as of 2/17)

2/9 passes and assurant changes assessment date back to 2/7

return window closed 2/13

received assessed device email from assurant on morning of 2/14

spectrum places the credit in my account as billing credit on morning of 2/15

on mid day 2/15 i request credit be refunded to debit card via the phone line (paid with different CC initially)

received refund on debit card on 2/16

lessons learned: make sure devices can be activated before sending them in for trade-in/credit, avoid online trade-in unless major benefit over physical trade-in (the double storage does not outweigh the amount of stress checking on status of this daily for me)
Wow that is some harrowing 24 hours btw 2/13 and 2/14! Did you reach out to Spectrum prior to the return window ending? thanks for sharing.

Walked into the store and they were definitely vetting if I was there to flip one I already got. But since that wasn't the case I walked out the door with two S24+ phones and a month of service for under $700. This deal would be hard to duplicate anywhere else, the double data was an incredibly good deal but still fantastic in store since the credit is applied immediately.

Thanks again OP. I jumped on this like white on rice after finding this post yesterday.

Your situation sounds different. I think free4ever said that Assurant reported their device as a completely different device. If yours is showing as the correct device then it may be for some other reason. If I recall correctly, I think some people said that the adjustment reason can take until the next day to show up. It is strange that both are with Note 4's, though, might just be coincidence.
I'm hoping they just goofed and the e-mail sent was "accident" since it doesn't state a reason and are reevaluating the phone. Time will tell.

Checked my local spectrum store, employee said my account only able to order online, I questioned and he showed me the screen that is what is showing. He said can try another store and see. Anyone has similar experience?
Not quite the same response in-store, but mine didn't go thru because of "verification failed", thinking there is a limit on how many trade-ins you can do in-store and online. This is my first time in-store and didn't go thru.

The right of refusal is a general reservation all businesses have. That's not the same as violating a specific promotional term or policy. If Spectrum wishes to arbitrarily refuse service by quoting this policy, they can. But you just proved there are no terms or conditions that are violated from Spectrum explicitly stating you are eligible to upgrade by trading in a device.

Don't take this too literally kid. Nobody here is trying to exploit an infinite money glitch. This is Slickdeals, where we take advantage of publicly advertised promotions to their limits. If you have issues with that, you're in the wrong community.

I have no clue why you are sitting here responding to me when you feel that Spectrum cannot deny you service and the right to do this deal as many times as you want. Clearly you found an infinite money glitch. You are so right, is that what you want to hear? Now stop wasting your time here, you could have made over $50,000 in the time you spent responding to me just flipping the same phone on the same line hundreds of times. Please go back and make a fortune! You are so right, you found a loophole and clearly they are contractually obligated to fulfill your every desire.

btw, you really should consider reading the contracts that you signed when you were doing this. You got the Dunning-Kruger effect going full force from your soap box.

As I said before, you seem to be taking this personally for no reason. My initial comment to you was about the Spectrum employees and not you. I do not care how many times you do this deal. You clearly know that you got away with exploiting the store otherwise you would have continue doing what you did and not be spending your time here attacking me.

So please, either go back to the store and keep doing this thousands of times to prove me wrong, or get over it.

That was the whole premise of your argument. If you are trying to change the argument now to deflect the conversation since you no longer have a valid response to the initial conversation, then can we please just move on? I easily found citation from Spectrum showing you that they can deny service and suddenly you try to completely shift the conversation and argument. If you want to start a different conversation, that is fine, but no need to gaslight.

dude, get off SD if you don't want deals... checking your post history, you complain and "hee haw" alot for someone who doesn't add any value and low rep.

complaining about Spectrum wrong with CA tax laws?????? ROFL.....

I've done a total of 8 phones now... no issues and will continue
Why did you stop at 8? I am glad you took time to read through my post history just to find things to complain about, but instead shouldn't you be trading in more phones? There are many people here talking about limits they have faced and being banned, but if you are not concerned about it and it upsets you when people such as myself discuss it, then why waste your time here? You should be at a Spectrum store right now flipping another 500 phones.

My previous comment was not even to you, but it upset you so much you read through my post history and are looking for ways to make ad hominem attacks against me? That really says more about you than it does about me.
