I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

This deal is still ongoing without upgraded storage. I'm planning to use someone else's account. Will they refund the credit back to my cc?

Spectrum will only ship phones to the registered address of the account holder, and they require signature at time of delivery. I am not sure how Spectrum's order system will handle things if the credit card name/address do not match the shipping address, might trigger fraud alert.

Do you live near the other person and a Spectrum store? If so, might be easiest to go into a Spectrum store with them to get it all done at once (assuming they have S24's in stock). Otherwise it is going to take quite a bit of coordination since they would have to place the order and mail the phone to you, you would have to mail the trade in, then they would have to call to get the credit refunded after the trade in is processed.

To answer your question, I think you can add your CC to your friend's Spectrum account and then when they call to get the credit refunded just say to send it to that card. However, I cannot say for sure since I am not sure if name/address mismatch will cause issues.

I don't know if it was worth it but I did that yesterday. I love the pen option. I think the camera might be worth it but haven't used much yet. I hope the 256 gb will be enough. I think it will.

I don't know the validity of this, but over the phone the salesperson told me that after initiating an order, there is a period of time during which I could call and change the shipping address. You might want to call and ask about that specifically. I'm in a similar situation where I'd like for my parents, who are in a different state and don't have Spectrum nearby, to be able to get new phones through this offer.

I am just telling you what it says on the actual Spectrum website when placing an order. It explicitly states that you can only ship to the account on file and does not give an option to change it. That being said, you can give it a try if you want and report back. You could perhaps even ask if you place an order over the phone if they can use a different shipping address, although I think the sales people on the phone basically just sit there and place an order through the Spectrum website (and asking for information like your SSN). Please also note that Spectrum customer service agents can also be extremely unreliable, I would take anything they tell you with a grain of salt. They might tell you one thing and then when you call back the next person has no idea what they were talking about and tells you something completely different. I have had this happen multiple times and others report similar.

A few people earlier in the thread were saying that their preorders were inexplicably cancelled. It sounds like it was related to items that went out of stock. Not the response you probably want, but some people were reporting issues because they sent in their trade in but when they called about their order they were saying it was no longer in the system.

Does the order show in your Spectrum account under Mobile billing?

The order # does appear on the billing history. I'll give till this week and see if there is any update since the S24 Gray 256GB seem to be in stock now.
Not sure if calling and speaking to the managment will help solve the issue due to their track record. The ideal resolution would be re-order and credit me back base on my previous order trade in details.
