You're not correct about this. Amazon doesn't have a list of people who have Citi cards. So how would they have 15,000 accounts to qualify.

If you don't have a Citi card on your account, you likely could qualify. And only the first 15,000 people who use this offer will have it work. I bet they fudge the 15,000 too...it's probably more than that, but they add that legalese to protect themselves so that if it goes nuts, they can pull the offer.

Again, you are incorrect. It is not restricted to 15,000 specific accounts. It is restricted to a total of 15,000 redemptions among all of the qualified users. The pool of qualified users could be 150,000, 15 million or 150 million.

Actually not correct as multiple of my Amazon accounts didn't qualify but some did.

Right, that's the qualifier -- that's why I said you COULD qualify. I've done this stuff long enough to know that there's also other criteria which causes accounts to be selected or not. My main point was that Amazon didn't just choose 15,000 accounts.

I just tried and learned that making a new Amazon account with a new email address allowed me to use 'first time only' credit card promos again. Probably works on other promos also but I haven't yet tried.

Is there a way to add Citi Sears MasterCard?

[Edit] Let me clarify. You are directed to the Citi website to add the payment, but the Sears card uses a different website Citibankonline instead of Citi.

If that link doesn't work, just add your Citi Sears MC to your amazon account and then use the promo code 24CITIH1 when you're in the checkout page and see if it works.

If that doesn't work, make a new account with a new email and try.

I'm not sure if this is true PhantasmX. I created a new account and it gave me the $10 off promo after inputting the code where it denied me on my original account.

just added my citi doublecash card from within the Amazon app. changed payment type to the citi card and then added the promo code and it worked.

After I get these promos from amex or citi I wait a week and then delete the card. I guess it must somehow refresh and I usually qualify for the next offer.

They changed the rule, very sad.

It's account specific, if one amazon account ever used citi offer in the past then that account is not eligible.
