I've got 10-50 adjustable dumbells and eventually added a 5-25 set, 35's and 45s, and will likely add 60s and 75s soon. While the flexability of adjustable sets is nice, a lot of programs (espescially high volume programs, i.e. Liift More and the like) have you lifting with little to no break between lifts, both to keep heart rate up and increase fatigue with less break time. Having to stop frequently to adjust dumbells can definitly restrict your ability to keep up with that type of lifting program and a set like this could be very helpful to cut down on time between lifts. Similarly, if you are pushing the upper end of your capacity on certain lifts, you may want to be able to quikcly drop to a lower weight in the middle of a set in a high volume program where completing all the reps is the most improtant factor. I get what you're saying but there are definitely situations where having individual dumbells is an advantage. All that being said, this deal isn't that great. At that price I'd hope for a 5-25 set.
Have a set of adjustables and while they are good for things like working on a bench, they aren't good for all around workout routines where you are constantly moving (they are always a little lose in the handle so it basically becomes a shake weight)

Save up for adjustable this is not really a practical purchase.

Do you have any others brands/models you'd recommend that are under $100 that fulfill 5-25? Or an adjustable dumbbell set?

am dissapoint, I expected a 100lb dumbbell and this is for an assortment of puny weights, clearly not made for manly man like me.
You can curl the whole rack for more of a challenge.

Try doing any shoulder rotator cuff exercise with heavier, tough-guy.

How about 4 sets of 15 of shoulder 6way? Good luck.

Practicality depends on the amount of use someone gets out of it lol.

Seems elementary to state the obvious but.. Everyone is differently lol
