Worked great during a few blackouts here in metro Detroit so far. Runs my lights, internet, TV, electronics etc., and probably the microwave if I'm careful enough. I've idled it through the night without issue.
Manual says E10 is okay so that's what I run, just need to keep up on maintenance. make sure to follow the oil change guidance, and set the fuel switch to off and run it until the carb is empty before you put it away.

I have a gas-powered furnace to heat the home. But it needs electricity to run the heater blower/fan. Can this be used to power the fan using the technique explained by this gentleman on his youtube channel?

For an occasional user, any of these will get the job done, as long as you take care of it. Break it in properly (highly recommend a magnetic dipstick for this, but not essential), exercise it regularly, and properly maintain/service it. Maintenance is easier with something like a Champion dual fuel if you're using propane instead of gas.
Now, if I had a food truck or was in a situation where my livelihood depended on my generator being able to run daily for long stretches, I'd probably spend extra on a Honda. But I'll add, that I've noticed some food trucks in my area using Harbor Freight Predators.
