Terrible case, larger version was discontinued. I have it. It's so bad for cooling that even with mods (cutting into the case for airflow) the only way to use this without having an external radiator for water cooling is to leave the panels detached.

Looks cool though. Maybe good for a low cpu using retro gaming system, even though big for that.

After watching Gamers Nexus on the Cooler Master NCORE 100 MAX and Hyte Y60 cases, as soon as I saw that glass window in front of the GPU, I was like 'Yay, zero airflow for the GPU'. lol

Hmm... maybe if you put both rear fans to intake and bottom fan to intake as well then the temps wouldn't be so bad. If it was a $30 promo code and only a $10 rebate I'd probably buy it just to play around with modding.

I know this case isn't nearly as high quality but for small ITX builds take a look at the cougar QBX

https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16811553020

You can remove the cougar logo from the front (it's just a sticker) and mod this cougar case. Supports those low profile disc drives and has mesh on both sides and the bottom. This would probably make an even better media home theater PC since you could add a blu ray drive. It also supports ATX PSU. Using an ATX PSU will cut into the space you have for the GPU so fitment will be a little tight. You can use a 240mm aio too.

Is this a recent phenomenon? I've never had an issue in the past, though its been a few years since I've bought anything from them

Would not recommend newegg rebates. I recently submitted a $70 z490 rebate and was denied because I submitted the same rebate from the previous rebate period; they claim that the rebate was once per lifetime despite the rebate was from different rebate period. There was nothing in terms and conditions stating this.

I have filed for several dozen rebates for Newegg products and never failed to receive one. It takes some effort and mild attention to detail but if you can build a computer you should be able to handle attaching a receipt, a UPC and/or serial number and mailing by a certain date.

I suspect most people oppose rebates because of the hassle and operator error.

For years, I have never had problems with rebates. Then, last year, I bought a case with a rebate. It's been 6 months, multiple calls, nothing... I just sucked up 30 bucks and moved on. Lesson learned for me - no more rebates.

About 2 years ago a Chinese company bought 56% share of this company. The idea of some people is that they will use its positive reputation and destroy customer service suck every dime out of it. And then dump the company.

People have claimed that their service is going downhill in recent times.

anyways if you're talking about having done a rebate before that. then it might be a completely different experience now.

It was back in 2016 when Liaison Interactive bought a majority stake. There have been some other changes in ownership since then.

It largely depends on the manufacturer who is offering the rebate as to how easy the process is and success rate. The issue is not being a "Newegg Rebate" but rather that it's an item sold by Newegg, who is now viewed as a scummy marketplace, and also being a mail-in-rebate.

Like Valkeriefire said, most people oppose rebates because of the hassle - and that's why some of the better deals can be had with rebates. As far as I'm concerned, if there's not a way to file online, I typically pass.

The sheer amount of people who seem to agree that Newegg + MiR = Risk should be an indicator that you are taking a risk in the process working out. Some people tolerate risk better than others.
