Buy a rubber hose and you're set for a while. This is vinyl and will eventually crack due to weathering. My rubber hose is 5 years old and still going with no cracks whatsoever.

Aye. I think have you beat, though. I have two Craftsman Rubber Hoses that must be 8-9 years old. They sit outside 100% of the time and still in great condition.
