I don't think peeling off the layer matters IMO they are not strong hold to begin with and looks ugly when it's already peeling. The gold still inside the case

most of the ones I've seen (and have) are peeling in some manner. The value lies in the gold....not the assay.

Gold can be a good investment if you time the market right for both buying and selling. Otherwise it's a pretty poor investment. Gold doesn't make money like a business does. It doesn't produce a product. Gold has industrial uses, but they're pretty limited. Gold has jewelry uses, but a plating glitters just as much as a solid piece. And there's a whole bunch of gold just sitting around in people's safes. If you think TS will HTF, you can't eat it, and you're not going to make anything out of it. Maybe you can bribe a border guard, but you gotta get to the border first, and then jewelry with diamonds are easier to transport.

And really, how easy is it to sell this stuff at a profit? If you buy it for $2070 and it arrives in a week, what can you sell it for locally? If you go online to sell, a middleman will take a cut. Craigslist? Are you trying to get robbed? I just don't get it.

My next door neighbor apparently died with a safe full of a gold that meth heads broke into and stole. More win.

Thanks for all the responses.
You are all right, the gold is still there.

I am just wondering is sell-ability is impacted.
BTW, looking at what I have this peeling is limited to PAMP from Costco.

The Costco stock is much better investment than Gold.
