Guys think like an Einstein: Take your girl out for a free night. She will love it. Plus, you get free popcorn and soda. The amount of hate here on literally a free date night is insane.

I don't get the point of the remake. Just a race swap for DEI? Got no issues with great asian and black actors, but could they make a new IP for it to draw more interest? Makes little sense. Guess we will see what the numbers say. Thanks op.

Really poor writing along with pushing political views with zero subtlety is the problem. Hollywood has quit trying to please the audience, just preaching these days.
Disney is kind of the problem. I know this will get removed but I don't care. I believe they have a policy of hiring the "best of the best." Best of the best at many universities means the biggest activist whose parents have a lot of money. I saw it myself. This is why ESPN and their studios have gone down the drain. They're not hiring talented film makers and sports analysts, they're hiring the wokest of the woke. See Pablo Torre and Mina Kimes.

Unless they turn the ship around and start hiring on merit and qualifications again, they're finished.

Movie theaters are finished. Every new movie theater project I've seen has been shelved.
AMC gross profit in 22 was 2.6 billion. Not sure they are going away. It will never be like it was but I expect concerts, esports and even tv releases to be in theaters of the future. You don't need 20 screens and the cost of making movies will go down a lot with ai.

Average production budget went up to 90 million last year vs 37 million in 2018. That's not sustainable either.

Free is good, but I don't really get the point of going out to a screening that I'll have access to the following night from the comfort of my own home. Maybe if it was a week in advance or longer, for sure.
I went to the Citadel one, they gave away a laptop and other stuff. Also free popcorn and soda. Sometimes it's nice to leave the house.

2 unknowns. Um, good luck to them.

By "unknowns" do you mean the actors?

Donald Glover is tremendously famous in both music and movies.

After watching the trailer.... yikes.

Hence why the free tickets?
Amazon has offered these free screenings for a variety of movies (some with pretty big budgets and highly rated like Gen V, Million Miles Away, etc.) where they try to gain consumer feedback. They offer surveys to the viewers and ask for your insights.

After getting a 77 inch OLED, I hate going to the movie theater. Reminds me of when I got a PS2...it made going to the arcade irrelevant.
Yep, I saw the new avatar in imax and all I could think was I can't wait to watch this on my TV at home lol. Theaters certainly have positives, the size of the screen and theater itself are both cool and even compared to a good sound system theater sound is amazing, but as far a picture quality goes a good oled is gonna look way better. The people arguing against that clearly don't have one.
