No photos/videos of them cutting through a can or any kind of metal. Hard pass.

The company's official website is showing $86 per set. https://bluediamondshopping.com/p...-knife-set

*Edit* Currently $38 on Amazon and $48 on Walmart's website. Needing a new set, I bought 2. Looks solid with good reviews.

I've had these for 6 months. Target Clearance. $23.99. Love them. But I hand wash. Still very sharp.

Fabulous deal for people just starting out or in need of a set and on a budget, and they will be fine for a casual cook. Cheaper knives can be incredibly sharp and if you don't take the best care or ruin them it's not as a big worry.

As someone who cooks a lot I have a full set of forged Henckels and a really nice Victorinox knife and keep them sharp with a stone. My partner just got her first home and had very little. Half as a joke and a gift I got her a PARIS HILTON knife set with a cutting board that was on sale. They're too thin and have a little too much flex, but they are so thin that they are INCREDIBLY sharp. Sharper than I can get my forged sets. I don't feel like they will last forever, but they will serve their purpose super well until we decide to live together.

probably worth it just for the block alone. You can't even get a decent block on amazon for less than $20. Maybe worth a spin as a throwaway set

It would be one thing if it was ceramic coated or something but it doesn't specifically mention that so it's most likely teflon or some kind of a toxic non stick. Yikes.

Millions of people have been eating food cooked in non-stick pans for half a century. Even if you were to ingest "flakes" they would be completely inert and less likely to react with your tissues than anything else in your food. Polyethylenes are often used to cost artificial joints and prosthetics that sit *inside* the body.
