Nah, more like, "zis is German, zis is ze best"

And now I just bought it (Bosch actually makes quality tools, so I have high hopes for this).

I don't have to deal with stripped screws and bolts often, but when I do it always just ruins my mood. Maybe having this set available will help me salvage some situations.

Thanks OP!

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank VladStar

"Broke on first use" (or similar statement) is in about half of the most recent reviews

P.S. You are already screwed having to extract a failed screw, then you become double screwed having to extract the extractor Smilie

I've never had any luck with this sort of thing... I usually end up knocking the head off and either grinding the screw flush or trying to unscrew it with vice grips...

Save time, get a cheap flux welder from HF/Zon, weld on a nut and call it a day.

Are these left handed drill bits along with the left handed extractors, or are they regular right handed drills?

You need a hand turner to use these correctly. I bet anyone who has them break used a drill

Bosch makes great tools, but their bits are some of the worst on the market. They might as well be one time use. Milwaukee bits have lasted a lot longer for me.

I can't vouch for this brand, but it is visually similar to the Grab.It brand extractors.

The Grab. Its work very well and saved my rear end a handful of times, super easy to use. I snapped one on a frame bolt that I didn't know was welded from the other side but Grab.It sent me a new one free, no questions asked!

Use the drill bits to core out the stuck screw/bolt. Then hammer the extractor in to engage the teeth. The directions say to use a T-handle to extract the screw/bolt, but you could use a ratchet. It would a like an impact driver or drill could snap the extractor. Can't verify that.
