Where do I find quest 2 for 150? Is it good for adult sites? Asking for a friend.
They're talking the used market.
I don't know how good it is for the free sites, but if you feed it super high quality videos, yeah. 180 degree, 3D video at high bit rates is something else. But it's definitely garbage in, garbage out. So the free stuff tends to be pretty awful video quality and not representative of what is out there.
Question for those recommending the Quest 2. What are your thoughts on battery health? I almost bought a Quest 2 but seller found out the battery didn't last any more than 15min. So they didn't sell it to me because they were an honest person.
From what I searched it didn't sound like changing the battery for a Quest 2 headset is a feasible option for the average user. So that scared me away from my pursuit for a Quest 2. Ended up getting an HP Reverb G2 for $180 on Facebook marketplace.

For the Quest 2, there's an official/first party and several third party external battery straps, which might help. Definitely a bit of a band aid, but might keep a headset alive or make a used one worth it if the price is right.
did they ever improve their POS hand controllers? it's got such a POS digital pad, if you go into the test controller and go around in circles and I think most of the older generation would fail. That's why I was wundrin if they may have fixed that.
best recommendation is get the steam vr controllers
From what I've read, this is discontinued but you can still use this for PC VR, but many people are saying it's not as good of an experience as the quest 2. This is a hard sell
Can anyone comment on these at Microcenter for 80, I'm not seeing it as even an item they stock on their website. I have a quest 3 just tempted for 80 as a media consumption device.
Here's the listing. Some stores still show stock. Also saw one store with a couple open box ones for $64
Very helpful.. if Quest 3 is for psychos like you, then who are those buying Vision Pro?!? 🤣🤣
Bought Quest 3 (first time ever VR) and day 1 was fascinating! Day 2 was interesting and fun. Day 3 it was common and slightly annoying. Day 4 following week, used it from 40 min week prior down to 20 mins, and decided to return it..
Simply don't see VR ever taking off until MAJOR design issues fixed, and there are many, none 'fixed' by apple.
My first unit has been the PS5 VR headset. Only game I've really used it for is Gran Turismo 7. With my Logitech wheel and a NextLevel racing seat it's a total game changer... only downside after using it for almost a year now is that playing racing games with out it is boring... completely spoiled by it...
I did try a few other free games from PS+... not really into any of those at all... but for racing sim it's quite tremendous.
If PS5 ever gets a decent flight game that's VR compatible I can see myself investing in a flight stick, throttle and peddles... just not really interested in the shooters and rock climbing nonsense though...

It just has to decompress video from PC and push said video to screen. A modern Terminal.
I am more interested in is how heavy the software is on the PC and does it need windows mixed reality.
