Would the ultra powerful version be good for cleaning metal and jewelry? Looks like 98% acetone. Should work right?

I've heard it said that everything comes off with something. While I don't believe that's entirely true, I bought this to add to my collection of solvents. Yesterday I had to remove some unknown type of paint from a pant leg. I tried lighter fluid (benzine), then this nail polish remover (acetone), then mineral spirits. What finally worked was de-natured alcohol. You should check online for the solvent best suited for the type of metal or jewelry you want to clean. Don't use nail polish remover with additives on instrumentation connectors or certain automotive parts as it will leave a residue.

I guess if you live in the middle of nowhere or need filler for an order it might be an ok deal. However I get nail polish remover for $1.25 or less all day long at dollar tree or target. Probably other stores too.
