The strikethrough pricing Groupon is displaying isn't what Knott's usually charges Confused

Admission is usually ~$60-65 for dated tickets. Holidays go up to around $70 - the Groupon ones seem to be flex tickets so still a deal in terms of flexibility, though certainly not 50% savings. The 4-pack is definitely the better deal here, but still not close to 55% off.

Universal sounds like a good deal too
https://www.groupon.com/deals/gl-...ywood-1-14

Nevermind, price goes up when you select dates, it's $149.

How is knotts berry farm, is it reasonable to expect teens having fun or is it mainly for younger kids?

Are there any other good deals you can recommend in Los Angeles in February?

Same. Lot cheaper than DL, shorter lines than DL, fun rides and shows, and at the time much better and cheaper food.

As a boomer, I miss the old Universal Studios with just the shows and tour, no rides.

Too bad they don't sell tickets just for those, I have no interest in the rides there.

Yea it's normally $60-65 on Feb weekends so not a huge savings.
Still got it cause $20 savings will at least buy us a "free" meal. Hopefully it doesn't rain every weekend.

A note, I saw you can get a unlimited food pass for $33-43. Doesn't appear to be a limit on the number of times you can use it other than every 90 minutes. The higher price includes snacks. Drinks (every 15 mins) as well.

I've never been to the one in California but I agree, I miss the shows, remember Twister, Disaster Movie, Stunt Shows, even they got rid of the climbing wall where you climed on side of the house like spiderman, otherwise everything is all digital and same old same old, although I must admit, Harry Potter world in Florida is something out of a fantasy world, it's amazing.

Anyway, how is knott berry farms for early teems, just rides and rides? I woudln't mind seeing charlie brown honestly myself Big Grin

We're Knott's passholders and we love it. We have young ones but I think it'll be even more fun for early teens. Plenty of roller coasters with varying levels of intensity if they're not into really crazy rides. We personally enjoy the variety of food options they have. Also they'll be seasonal events with live music and performances (right now it's the Peanuts Celebration [knotts.com]). The Summer performances had some great singers. I think this is where they separate themselves and have the advantage over Disneyland.

Thank so much. Is the parking and walk from parking too long? Do I need to buy premium parking like Hershey park because the walk from regular park was a killer. We got lucky at Busch Gardens, been there once and it was a lot of fun so is it similar. Would love some tips from pass holder as I have only 1 day in Los Angeles before we hop on a cruise

I haven't been to Knott's in decades, but they had a pretty fun Wild West Show, and a lot of western exhibits. They had areas for both big kids and little kids, so that worked out well for us. Now my kids are in their 30's, so no way I am getting my wife to go back there.

Great questions. Yeah, the negatives...parking is $30 but I think it's a fairly easy walk from the main lot (on the other side of Beach Blvd - you walk under the street), but I realize that's pretty subjective depending on a lot of factors. It's a much shorter walk than if you walked from the Disney parking structures. I'm not sure how much VIP parking is extra but it cuts the walk in half (about). But the for the most part parking isn't hard to get in and out.

Thanks, you can try go alone or will that be weird? I wish I lived in California or Florida, honestly, I would get an annual resident pass and spend my free time at the parks during quiet times. I understand it can get tiring after a while but with so many parks to visit I think I'd hit them once a month different park, but again I understand lone park goer might look a bit weird but who will know? Maybe kids and wife are out eating or don't want to ride and here I am. Plus, single rider lines tend to move faster. Smilie

Thanks for the tips, it will be a Saturday trip and now that we are considering Knott Berry, I am planning to stay near Cerritos, don't need a fancy resort just a place to stay that's clean, then we can drive down to pier next morning and still have enough time. Do you think drive from Cerritos to San Pedro on Saturday morning (10-11AM) will be brutal or just fine as long as we give ourselves 1 hour or so? I am planning to drive by LGB, drop the car and hop on a taxi to pier.
