I thought the same at first but the flexibility of running this for 10+hours on battery or plugged in indefinitely to light a work area is invaluable. I got tired of using my 18650 lights. Plus being able to use my Ridgid batteries and LSA are huge for me. The right tools can make a job much easier.

This light plus two others typically as a combo pack go on sale every November and December for $129 for those that don't really need it.

I have this light. It is really nice for those that do want it.

I picked up the Ryobi one similar to this except 3000 lumens on Black Friday for $50 without battery or charger. It is solid and I have no complaints. I like that you can plug it into an extension cord and you can mount it on a Tripod. I've used it multiple times and it works great!!
I am tempted to get this one for the extra 4 amp battery (I have some Rigid tools too), The battery is $50 on DT right now without a charger (another $30) - so yeah, this is a good deal IMO.

This or Costco's Coast Rechargeable Clamp Work Light? https://www.costco.com/coast-rech...94508.html
That light dropped in price quickly. It's very heavy and unnecessarily bulky

I got 2 of these last time they were on sale. Very good product puts out a TON of light. I have 7 batteries and the batteries are guaranteed for life so I didn't care if they came with batteries or not.

I purchased the three light kit bundle in the past that includes this 3 panel, a ridiculously bright torch and more of a generic work light. It was a bit of a splurge as a pro-sumer with already half a dozen battery lights on hand …. But they are worth their price when you put them to use. We had a tropical storm event a few weeks ago knocking out power to over half the state … and half the house inside was illuminated with bosch 12v, ryobi 4v and the ridgid 18v cheap lights … when the power contractors came out after dark, easy peasy, I have got some lights for you to take photos and video ( our utility pole was in 3 pieces ) …

Of course that is an extreme example, but this panel light gets used frequently during small remodels, to light up an area for new pipe or wire runs in a basement, …

If there is one downside, it is that it is not as compact as it could be possibly … but then again this for work sites.

The $129 3-light combo does not include a battery and charger: https://slickdeals.net/f/17008795-home-depot-ridgid-18v-cordless-3-light-combo-129

This is a great work light, and $99 for the light plus the battery plus the charger is a great price.

Is anybody still seeing free shipping? It's only giving me a $35 shipping option.

I remember when I got the hand held flash light sized thing in my ridgid tool kit and I thought "what a joke" and now it's probably my most used tool. Crawl spaces, working in the winter when it gets dark early, etc makes these things so freaking handy.

I wasn't seeing any free shipping/pickup options but BrickSeek was showing stock at my store, so I just went to pick it up where it was the same $99 price. They also had the light only, without the batteries, for $67. Of course it's a clearance thing, so YMMV.

Put me down as someone else who bought the 3 light pack and has been very happy with it. It's amazing when working on electrical in a room with the power off and having the room lit comparable to how it would be if the power were on. It will light up a small back yard pretty decent, too. The price here is pretty good if you need another battery.

Found 1 at my local HD, $75 on clearance rang up at $67 at checkout. It's the version with the Gray color on panel instead of the orange in this post. Been wanting one to go with my ridgid fold stand and 9amp battery.

Can you post the SKU of the unit you bought? Did it also include the battery and charger?
