I picked this up for $60 back in 2019 according to my Amazon order history. I use it every single day for tea or french press coffee and boiling water quick for various things when cooking. No rust, no issues with the temp dial, still heats water super fast. I do have an undersink RO filter so I'm sure that helps reduce the buildup, but this has been the longest lasting kettle I've ever owned. I used to buy the cheaper pitcher style electric kettles and I swear I'd end up buying a new one every year.

I know it seems up there in price, but it is a good quality kettle and most of the name brands tend to run in the $100-250 range for gooseneck kettles (with the exception of Bodum, which is super thin metal and cheap plastic parts).
You just don't like coffee that much I get it no need to be negative.
If you did you'd know there's a difference, but there's also personal preference.
A pour over on paper filters burr grinded is different then a deliciously hot percolator coffee or a strong French press. To each their own
Super expensive!

Too bad it shuts off after 30 minutes. Otherwise could be used like a Zojirushi.

I've had this for a few years. It's nice but the temperature controls are wonky now. The temp just adjusts randomly no matter how you turn the knob.

It doesn't appear to be insulated so you'd be using lots of electricity to keep water hot.

pour over has got the be the most pointless way to make coffee.
a $20-$30 french press or percolator can do a far better job of it.

I have owned one of these for a bit over a year and have enjoyed it immensely. The selectable temperature, built in timer, and 30-minute auto shut off features make this so much more functional than my old stovetop kettle. I use it for my daily pour over coffee (with a hario v60); I've made over 500 cups of coffee with it in the last year. It's also been convenient for my kitchen flow as I have a galley kitchen with a tiny stove; freeing up one burner has been so helpful. I had paid full price for this, but would do so again. I'd recommend this to anyone who has been considering an electric gooseneck. It might not be as fancy as a Fellow kettle, but it's a workhorse.
