You're only doing writes while downloading and saving which is a fraction of the time for usage.

haven't noticed any issues myself with 100GB unused (80 games because why not). Plus with 2TB, that's a lot of games before you get to 80% lol

Pretty good deal for a Steam Deck or ROG Ally upgrade. Just got my OLED Deck too, but I said I'd wait until I sold the old one to buy more storage...

As with all these 2230 SSD deals, use caution. Surface Pro tablets don't work very well with Gen 4 PCIe SSDs, and there are many reports of random restarts, etc.

Uggh, I'm torn. I want a 2TB drive for my Steam Deck, but I've read that writes get really slow when it's 80+% capacity.

Can the Legion Go take a 2230 as well? I know it comes with a 2242 installed.

You would need some way to fasten the drive down or buy a 2242 extender plate.

There's a $4 adapter that a small US company sells on eBay that's basically 3D printed on demand when you order. Nifty and useful. Search by lowest price shipped from USA and you'll find one.
