Actually, only the Dream Machine Special Edition has PoE. The Pro is same thing minus PoE ports. EDIT: Forgot that the RJ45 WAN port on SE is 2.5 GbE upgraded from 1 GbE on non-SE. I believe those two things are all the differences.

I really wish the NVR had a poe switch built in....I've got an existing Blue Iris system, this would be pretty expensive to migrate over to. to buy an additional 4-6 cameras and a switch.

For just that amount of cameras, the Dream Machine Pro might be a better choice.

I have that with 7 cameras and it works fine. This would definitely be on the list if I were looking to expand my system a bit, though.

No, this will only run Protect. UniFi Network would require Cloud Key 2, Dream Machine, or Dream Machine Pro (I highly recommend the latter).

I'm assuming you mean the NVR Pro?

How does someone become aware of Ubiquity's sales outside of this board. I'm hoping the doorbell camera goes $100 off again soon.

I just migrated to Blue Iris and have to say it is a MUCH better solution than most nvrs in the 500-600$ price range. Much happier with Blue Iris than most things I have tried.

They almost never have "sales" they just are either instock or not. They have instock alerts on their website as well.

Have you tried it compared to Unifi?

I too am waiting on that sale as well as I didn't pick one up during the holiday's, I'm hoping they release a G5 Pro Doorbell...

But I saw this deal on Reddit, they are pretty quick with posting this stuff. The one thing I would say is that someone did post about a glitch on the store last Friday where it was adding and extra camera when they were trying to buy an NVR so it kind of tipped me off that this deal might come.
