I bet most people would not be able to point out pre-ground or whole bean coffee in a blind taste test.

Unless you do not have a coffee grinder at home, I highly recommend not purchasing ground coffee. It goes stale much more quickly than whole bean coffee you can grind on an as-needed basis.

My local costco stops carrying Starbuck 5lbs french roast for around $19 with frequent $5 discount. I am trying out the kirkland brand and it is not quite as good.

I have never had a good pre ground coffee. It's kinda maddening someone would pay a higher price tag for an inferior product, especially Starbucks.

Same thing with shredded cheeses or some spices like black pepper (pencil shavings).

Vacuum sealed right after grinding tastes the same.
Don't believe the hype they make more money if they sell you whole bean and you do the hard and messy work of grinding it 😂.

I needed a 5th item for my monthly S&S.
I just picked up the 28oz whole bean pike place for $9.49.
Saw this thread after. If anyone is into whole bean that's a good price too, but only saw the 28oz with the extra 35% off.

I'm really tempted but I hate to take the risk of getting 3 bags of coffee with "best by" dates of next month.
