So you can emulate any hardware? Even Ps5 or the latest pc games? Do you have to download them from shady websites or bittorent?
No, sorry for my sarcasm. The link below shows which emulators work with this device and their overall capability to do so. The greatest significance between the RG 35XX and this model (RG35XX-H is that the H model body is horizontal which makes it easier to use.
In general:
Game Boy (GB)
Game Boy Color (GBC)
Game Boy Advance (GBA)
SEGA Genesis (GEN)
Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)
Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES)
PlayStation 1 (PSX)

do you just download the ROMs online and transfer them over to the micro SD card and thats it? no need to install other firmware or software?
These usually come loaded with tons of games, but they're typically pretty disorganized and poorly named so it's hard to find what you want. But yeah, you can just pop the SD card out, connect it to your computer, and drop in the ROMs in the correct folders for the most part. You'll probably need to scape afterwards if you want the box art and such to show up.
I do too. I was telling myself I'd get one at $60 but there's still no custom firmware on the horizon so I'm kind of waiting to see what happens
This was a surprise to me. I just got mine from geekbuying and didn't realize the garlicos for my rg35xx wouldn't just work there too. My mistake but I'd go for a RGB30 instead of this knowing the RGB30 can handle custom firmware even though I think it's not as powerful as the rg35xx H.
I have two anbernic devices now the 351v and 353v. I want to try a horizontal system again, but the V was perfect for me at the time because i play laying in bed, on my side and it was comfortable. The OS that comes with these things are BAD,maybe they are getting better and this device doesnt have a custom OS yet.....and heck, it might not. :/
The other device I thought about getting besides the 353v a few weeks ago was the RGB30 which is what some people mentioned but it's horizontal so not sure how comfortable it would feel lying in bed and the 1:1 screen would have lots of black bars.
Hope this allowed here, but here is a Google doc for people that want to compare these devices from different companies.
That's not 100% correct. I just completed a return/refund on a faulty unit I had from LITB, and shipped to Portland OR ($13, from East Coast). The whole process was way easier than I had expected. They refunded device and my shipping costs. Would gladly do business again. For reference the unit was the PowKitty X55 off SD a few weeks back.
totally different experience then i had when i got a bad screen 35xx around 3 months ago.

640 grams steam deck oled
669 grams steam deck original
180 grams Anbernic RG35XX H per the website
the steam deck is 11.7" inches long and this is 5.7" long, 4.6" inches tall vs 2.71" tall
I do not own a steam deck but these are completely different size devices.
