Good price but going to pass because it has a split top (2 piece particle board) and some reviews say that they can become uneven over time.
Haven't seen a report of a sit stand desks catching fire.
Good price, I'd get this just for the frame & motor, then buy 80"x36" door (~25lbs) from Lowes or HD and have large desk top on it. Since this frame is advertised to hold a max 176lbs, I'd have about ~150lbs left for some monitors, laptops, and stuffs on it.

Dang nice price. Probably the lowest I've seen. They're usually in the $90 range at best.

Sweetcrispy sounds like what the motor will do to your house in a few months when it burns out and catches on fire...

Can we solve the split top by having a large desk pad?

Couldn't you make a makeshift cleat? Like one you would use to attach two shelving pieces. Forces them to stay even. Just get a piece of thin wood or similar material and attach from the bottom?

Replace the top with a single piece of 24-inch wide butcher block. Treat it with mineral oil now and then. You'll love it.

I haven't done the math, but I think going that large on a small footprint frame would lead to some pretty bad stability issues unless you had at least one edge against a wall.

As an alternative to butcher block, you could get a precut 2x4 plywood panel and some glue on edge banding or a 5/4x24" edge-glued board for under $40–may not look quite as nice, but would make it about $100 all in if you're really on a budget and want to get rid of the split top. Otherwise, 3 to 5 flat metal braces that are 3" long would probably keep the middle reasonably flush over time—anything heavier as bracing and you'll either need it long enough to sit on top of the legs or it's going to cause more sag than it prevents.

Yes. And it works well for me. But going to replace the top with a single piece at some point anyway. Some beautiful piece.
