I have had the 3120 model for 5 years, used on a daily basis. It's like my Toyota cars; they never break down. I have no excuse to replace it with a better model.

We have this for a few years now, it's quick and good enough for a quick cup of espresso. It's also compact enough that we can take with us on vacation. The only thing is it started to leak a bit when heating up the water.

This is a great beginner machine if you are curious about getting into espresso making and this price is super slick. This machine may not be as nice as others, but for this price point it is an easy decision. Pair it with a decent grinder and you have a solid beginner setup.

I had similar model, it's not the best coffee machine but basic and totally worth for this money. I started from capsule coffee machine but after buying this I realized espresso from fresh and good coffee been is important. One bad thing is you need ground coffee, so it's bit hard to get fresh coffee but you can get cheap grinder. After you enjoy making coffee after buying this machine you can upgrade later.

Good deal if all you want is a cappuccino and won't use the steamer for a latte. I purchased at $90 and returned it a month ago. Too high maintenance and the cappuccino tasted more bitter than it usually does for the same ground using a Bella machine that I was replacing this with. Also the water reservoir is too big for my needs. I needed a simple machine that brewed strong coffee and takes in just the amount of water needed for that brew and steam. This one needs more water, the steam wand puts out hot water (thereby diluting the milk) if not hot enough and there's a wait time between the coffee brewing and the machine heating back up to put out steam. Overall, too high touch for my tastes.
Returned and ended up buying a generic Chinese brand (imusa) on Amazon for $25. Does what I want.

This does seem like a good entry-level deal to me. No experience...
It is available at my store in the Cincinnati area.

This is a great entry level machine provided that you're willing to invest another $100 or so on a good hand grinder and another $75 or so for a new Portafilter and basket. Grinder is more important than the espresso machine.

The fabulous thing about this machine is that it has an actual boiler in it instead of a thermoblock. This means the entire group head (where you put your grounds) can warm up and reduce any variations in temperature. A lot of recommended machines under $500 use a thermoblock which while speeding up the initial start up time fail to warm up the group head leaving for an uneven extraction.

Another great thing about this machine is that it is fully manual and makes the user use dosing by weight instead of volumetric dosing. This is the way to go to get consistent shots every time.
