Verizon for Warp 5G, T-Mobile for GSM, AT&T is coming later this year. You choose which carrier you want.

I've been with US Mobile for a year now. I like it.. good service, and good customer service as well. My family are low data users (we work from home), so I'm paying $42/month for 6gb of data shared between the 4 of us. We've only went over this 6gb limit once, and it's only $2/month/gb for top-ups. It's worked out very well for us.

That's just Verizon being Verizon. Their LTE/5G NW (DSS) speeds have slowed to a crawl in a lot of placed over the past couple of years due to congestion. They're converting 5G NW back to LTE in some areas too, since it was such a disaster. their 5G UW (C Band, aka real 5G) is plenty fast though, if you have coverage where you're at and they have enough density.

USM's data priority is QCI 8, same as most Verizon post paid plans. https://fixverizon.com/2023/01/12...eir-mvnos/
Thanks for this - we have a couple of Visible lines and never upgraded to Visible+ when it came out. Looks like US Mobile has higher priority than standard Visible and is less expensive!

Can it be used for wifi calling and receiving text (OTP) when traveling outside US?
Short answer is that it depends on your plan and phone. If you have the option to enable wifi calling in your settings, it should work. My phone didn't even have checkbox to enable it, which took some tinkering to the point of flashing different Samsung firmware. It's a weird thing with how the carrier provisions it, at least on the Verizon network. USM doesn't cut you off from using wifi calling, but they don't seem to have support in place for this more advanced and risky messing around with the device (which totally makes sense and is fair).

Once I did complete that process, though, wifi calling has worked flawlessly including out of the country. Their service has been great as well.

As long as you're not using a ton of data or want unlimited hotspot, USM is the way to go for most people.

Switch the whole family from Net10 to US Mobile about 2 months ago. No issues with them. 3 are on the Verizon network and myself on the T-Mobile. Much better price for 35GB data/month on the lesser unlimited plan. Just sharing.

Shoot, I think this might cost less than my grandfathered simple choice plan..granted I have unlimited data that gets throttled after a certain amount is used.

Won't lose anything, but you'll gain hotspot and intl calling. Another option, for low data users is their new $72/1gb/mo annual plan, which will offer $2/gb top-ups next week. I'll be moving my data pool of five lines to that plan in the near future.
Since you seem pretty knowledgeable, can you give me some advice? Is the monthly $42 pooled plan for 4 lines (with 6GB pooled) the best for us? We have 4 lines and it would be $72 x 4 = $288 for only 1gb of data on the annual light plan. To add another 6gb would put us at $528 a year, which is more than the $42 x 12 months = $504 we're currently paying. Seems like it doesn't make... even under the new $2/GB top-up feature, it still would only be a modest cost savings compared to paying monthly.

I tried them for a month for free. They had really good service and customer service. I would've stayed with them but I hopped on my friends T-Mobile for $10/month unlimited.
Can I piggy back too 😁
10$ a month is a steal.

Does it require immediate activation? How many days can you wait to activate it?

Give them a generated IMEI for a newer phone that Verizon will accept, then use the SIM in whatever phone you want, although you're going to have a bad time if you're using a 4G phone on verizon's LTE in a lot of areas due to congestion. There's a shopping area here that has a Verizon Micro LTE pole... At night, I can get 150/40 speeds, but during shopping hours, with Visible+/Priority Data, I'm lucky to see 1-3mbps down, and if you don't have priority data, then you'll be lucky to see .4-.6 down.

Here's a coverage map based off the the carriers' own signal data that they turn over to the FCC every six months. You can basically tell where their towers are by zooming in and looking for the darkest green areas.
https://map.coveragemap.com/
There's also Cellmapper.net which is handy, if you're a bit nerdier and can figure it out.

And here's an easier to read QCI chard https://fixverizon.com/2023/01/12...eir-mvnos/

I hope they don't renig on the $2/gb top-ups for the new Lite and this plan. Someone on reddit said they chatted with support and got a top up on the lite plan for $2 a week or two ago, and the CEO said better top-up pricing is coming next week.

AFAIK, everyone has always been grandfathered in to their discontinued plan, when new plans have launched, and according to the CEO, this plan won't be going away after a year. I think some of their excessive plan changes over the past year have been to try and make sure they can offer the same pricing and data allotments, with very close to the same options, across all three carriers when they launch AT&T service in June.

If she doesn't need 10gb of data, the new Lite plan is $72/yr for 1gb/mo and top-ups are supposed to be $2/gb starting next week.
So I don't know if I'm reading the qci correctly but it looks like Google fi gets higher priority than even Verizon post paid? And that your better off with an mvno over post paid Verizon entry level/ basic plans?

Is Premium data the same as WARP? Verizon deprioritization is unbearable from my experience.

Yes it can. I switched from Verizon to them in ~2020 I believe, and have travelled overseas a few different times (to Europe and India), and as long as the Wifi signal was good, I was able to do both Wifi calling and sending/receiving SMS.

Alternatively, you can pay $126+tax, or $252+tax for two years, here: https://slickdeals.net/f/17171692

Also offered are 6 month promotions of:

5GB/mo: $40 + tax ($6.67/mo)
10GB/mo: $50 + tax ($8.33/mo)
20GB/mo: $70 + tax ($11.67/mo)

Data is throttled after monthly high-speed allowance, not hard-capped like US Mobile. Verizon Only, while US Mobile gives you the option of Verizon or T-Mobile.

I tried these guys for awhile about a year ago. They really were just fine, but I jumped over to Google Fi because I wanted the service on my LTE Smartwatch. I would pay double this price if they could add support for LTE Smartwatches.
