To be clear, everything works fine for what I've used it for. But if I sell my current kit for $100 and get the new kit, I'd effectively be in $300, but I'd also have tools that are 3 years newer, though I am mostly curious if the battery is the selling point or if the tools also have a benefit over the one I already have.
DCTS972X1(?) vs DCST922P1 - 60V version looks to have the motor back by the battery mount, so shaft driven, and a wider swath (1"-3") plus the ability to add some attachments that I won't waste money on. Mine folds in half easily by undoing a latch, motor is mounted above the trimmer head. Not sure if motor placement is better on one over the other, but tool balance might be nicer with the motor by the battery? Having not used Flexvolt, hard to imagine weight of those batteries vs 5 or 6ah max batteries.
DCBL772 vs DCBL722B, these seem identical (Both 600cfm, 125mph), wondering if 60v is just lighter.
