Conclusions:
Strong evidence of 5–15 g/day dose of COL in improving joint pain and functionality. However, further research is required to understand the exact adaptive mechanisms.
Changes in body composition and strength with 15 g/day COL and resistance training were not as prominent in young recreationally active participants as they were in elderly sarcopenic men.
Exercise and vitamin C seemed to aid collagen synthesis. 15 g/day COL was more effective than 5 g/day COL in elevating collagen synthesis, hence 15 g/day may be a more effective dose. COL should be consumed prior (~ 60 min) to exercise to maximise collagen synthesis.

Evidence for their clinical efficacy is lacking and mechanistic and targeted clinical research is required to determine if and how collagen hydrolyzates may help to improve joint health. Also, collagen hydrolyzates have the potential for use in a healthy population without OA, as a preventive and prophylactic measure. Collagen hydrolyzates are considered an attractive nutritional supplement for preventing bone and joint degeneration in early stages of OA, but their ability to treat and reverse advanced joint disease remains highly speculative.

Collagen hydrolysate has a positive therapeutic role in osteoporosis and osteoarthritis: potentially increasing bone mineral density, having a protective effect on articular cartilage and, primarily, providing symptomatic relief of pain. However, further studies are needed to determine the pathogenic factors involved in osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, its early diagnosis, and from which stage of life it would be recommended to start supplementation, as well as the suitable dosage, in order to achieve significant therapeutic potential.

Ill edit this post to provide links when I can. Possibly just a waste of money, like most supplements are.

So I know the biotin worked 🤷
Oh an so everyone knows. This is 20 servings of protein with collagen. 20gms x 20 for $10.. You can get 50 x6 grams for 17.99 not even a sale. Or rather since it's 3 pills a time you get 150 2g pills. This is just 20 2g servings if needing collagen. Just on a random pill I looked at. Unless you used the ibotta discount with the coupons orgain used to put on their shakes it's is probably the most expensive protein ever. An it didn't taste that good. But when do 80% the proteins? An im not factoring how much 20 servings of 20 grams protein probably is 10$ on sale these days tho?
Edit: so I did the math. 20 servings of 25g protein was $10 last time for me . So that's technically 25 servings of a 20g for $10 I got while this is 25 for $10. The non sale pills. So let's say that's maybe 2-$3 you spend on 20 20g servings of collagen. Where not on sale I quickly located collagen pills for 10 for a dollar. This is an OK deal unless I can confirm I find collagen pills at 1/2 1/3 this normal price I found. You could technically be saving a dollar or two. An also if supplementing your own collagen you can get multiple collagen types. Hey it's SD a dollar is like a Lamborghini here
