I wonder if they stock at the warehouse to avoid the shipping charges?
This laptop has very good specs for $384.98 after mandatory, flat-rate shipping charge.

UPDATE: No backlit keyboard. Boo! It has been months since the reviewers pointing this out were promised they would have Costco fix the error in the specs.

I do not understand why people here act like that complaint is unwarranted. It is important to some of us. Stop your snarky put-downs.

I've been waiting for a deal on Dell so I can use my American Express promotion but this looks like it may be good enough. I wanted 16 gigs of RAM but upgradable is not a bad deal

The specs read very comparably to the recent Lenovo IdeaPad 3 deal. It's a shame about the lack of backlit keyboard because this laptop would tick off most checkboxes for a lot of people.

I'm wondering how's the trackpad on this unit? The IdeaPad 3 trackpad is trash.

I recently purchased a Lenovo with a backlit keyboard, and it was not enabled by default. I needed to hit the FN key and space bar to enable. Perhaps this is what might be going on here.
