I'm not shitting on the deal. I'm asking an actual question for those that suffer acid reflux and have taken both.

They're a pretty decent placebo for bloating or overeating. But yeah, much better products over the counter now.

Perspective: I have had terrible reflux for years and after taking pretty much every thing thrown at me have settled on one 15mg lansaprazole every 4 or 5 days vs omeprazole daily. I can go longer if I watch what I eat (away from spicy or acidic). I have a Costco sized tums in several rooms and car for on the go and immediate relief.

Good to know. Luckily I don't have chronic acid reflux. I usually only get it when I've been eating stupid like drinking beer and wine with friends and overeating pastas at an Italian restaurant after not eating a healthy diet for a couple days. I take the Tums, but they usually do a poor job of completely stopping it.

Definitely only would take short term. I probably only get acid reflux about 6 times per year, but Tums usually don't meaningfully correct it, but perhaps they shorten the duration. I've never taken omeprazole yet. I'll end up reading some articles, but I was just curious to hear some personal experiences if omeprazole is some godsend that shuts down the acid reflux. Thanks for sharing your experience.
