No not at all. It's actually largest for most consumer projects. And even then, it would be less than 0.01%. Don't waste your money.


Anything 1/4" and below is household. 1/4" is still a bit high for anything. You can get all sorts of deals on "sets" which include the bolt, nut and washer on EBAY.


Don't use stainless steel bolts/nuts on regular steel projects. Generally all you need is galvanized bolts/nuts which are rust resistent.


If you are going to use a bolt and nut on something which vibrates or moves often like a lawn mower, you want a Locking Nut and even a Locking Washer to prevent the nut from untwisting off the bolt.

Thanks for the advice/tips. I'll check out ebay for fasteners!
