I would normally say this is true. However, with the success of their port for their predecessor game and that Forbidden West is considered an equally as good game I would say it is actually worth it. Plus you get GOTY edition.

It's a bit different than a game that has yet to be released. In which case I would completely agree with you.

I was just watching a video going over Forbidden West on PC. They sure added some nice features for folks with capable GPUs, multiple monitors, etc. Killer game too. I can't remember my hour count on PS5 but I'm sure it was 200+. Probably my favorite experience so far on the PS5. Definitely a worthwhile pickup for PC folks

Never pre-order. You will pay way more for a game than it is actually worth. Wait until it gets much cheaper.

I played this game to death on PS5 when it first came out and then traded my console in before the dlc came out. I'm excited to have it on my PC and hopefully it runs well on steam deck. If you preorder from gmg, could you cancel the preorder before launch? Do the charge upon ordering or release?

Really depends on if you are a person who can wait 1-2 years for the preorder package to be included in some bundle or 'season pass' AND discounted. If you are, wait. But if you are the person who is going to buy the game AND extra launch DLC within a few months of release then it is usually cheaper to preorder if you just have to have all the content 'now.'

I'd personally can wait half a decade, plenty of other games to play until then. Many people do not want to.

Agreed, I picked up Horizon ZD for $12, long after it was patched (as well as could be, anyhow) from the bugs it had at launch and it still crashed to desktop several times before I finished it. I'll gladly wait for this game to hit $12 (or less) before I pick it up, too...my backlog is plentiful.

Yeah Zero Dawn is one of my favorite games, if not my favorite game. I didn't buy yet, but I probably will before it releases. I've been waiting for this to finally come to pc.

Oh, I didn't see multiple monitor support, interesting. I have over 200 hours on Zero Dawn myself, can't wait to start playing this one.

Are you familiar with Spawn Wave? I think I can find that vid. Brb

Edit: I've got a link for the vid right here. It's from Spawn Wave. If you aren't familiar, I'd encourage you to check it out. John starts in on Forbidden West at about the 15:50 mark in the vid.

Oh yeah, I watch his daily news usually. I believe you, just surprised to hear, I usually don't watch too much about games I'm looking forward to so I don't accidentally see spoilers. I appreciate you going to look for it.

👍 I do the same... usually my first vid of the day and then I always watch the livestream on Saturday nights. The link is in my reply above and it's just for the daily news for today so it doesn't have any spoilers. Sounds like it is going to be super nice on PC though. Makes me wish I had a nice 4k setup rather than a laptop 3050ti
