Jomashop is very heavily promoted by SD. Any Jomashop deal, no matter how crummy it is, instantly makes FP even when the ratings are low. Jomashop customer service is notoriously bad and unreachable. They operate their shop like a used car dealership. They have no qualms sending you a used item when you bought it new. Or the item with pieces missing, like bracelet links from watches, or the paperwork that was supposed to be included. If you request return, they will either refuse or make you pay return shipping. That is if you can get through to their customer service first.

Just check the known watch forums then make your decision how reliable they are. I would not trust them any more money than you are willing to lose. Better yet, treat purchasing from them like buying from Facebook marketplace or craigslist.

Another proof that Joma deals are heavily promoted by SD staff, like I said in my previous post. And definitely not on their merits.

Here are my comments on the above
  • Regardless Jomashop warranty, read this [reddit.com], this [reddit.com]and this [watchuseek.com]then make your own mind about viability or usefulness of such warranty
  • Their return policy states that return item must be
    • In new condition. I personally experienced them sending the watch not in new condition, even though the page I bought from clearly said brand new
    • Must include all packing material, blank warranty cards, manuals, and accessories. From my personal experience they almost never include the warranty cards or manuals. So it's very easy to deny the return based on this. Good luck trying to prove them that their package did not include this in the first place.
    • Ship via insured ground service (USPS or UPS) with a tracking number. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages. As it well known, even if they send you something wrong or not as described they will flatly deny paying for return shipping. And Ground and insured shipping today is in $40-50 range. So think whether it's the watch or glasses worth it to lose $50 due to their screw up?

Why? They're a well known and reputable dealer. I've purchased several watches from them with no issues. Yes, they are heavily promoted by SD staff, but so are other sites and brands. Advertising is what keeps this site up and running.
