Con - you get locked in for 3 years as it comes as a monthly credit.
Edit - For trading in and saving the hassle of sending a phone to them, best is to go to a Corp store, trade in person and get the receipt confirmation of successful trading and promotion.
The price can only go down on electronics. Phones are not an investment, give it a couple of months and you'll see another sale. Many will refuse to buy, if no selling offer is available, so they'll be forced to come back with better offers. Got it? Good.
I doubt $1k for 2 gen old phones will come by in later stages of this launch, perhaps not even for 1 gen old phones.
It was always a loss leader money losing business model.
With market conditions changing and investors continuously demanding more out of these companies making idiotic unsustainable decisions.
I'm just happy those deals did come about, even if a little sad they may just be gone.
Thanks for looking out, though.

Samsung probably has the weight to influence this but seems content sitting on the sidelines.
