Trying so hard not to jump on this. My N9 works perfectly fine for the 5 years I had it. Been cased since first use so it's still in very good shape underneath. I need to save this 600 bucks for miscellaneous things I'll need around the house in due time.... Yea that's it!!

Traded note 10 ($400) for s24 ultra 512gb + case + screen protectors + galaxy bud2 pro for $840 taxes included

Returned buds for 250 on gift card

= $590 OTD

Fwiw I have a grandfathered plan with tmo and they require a plan change to trade in so I traded using student acct on samsung.com
Trying to understand your math here. That $250 gift card is to be spent at Samsung? Otherwise it is not $590 OTD?

I have a Note8 in good condition. However, I haven't spent $600 on a phone -- ever. I always get 1-2 year old phones - lol. Hoping to find a much cheaper deal to get rid of Note8 for a similarly hefty trade-in. Funny enough I've been trying to sell this Note8 for like 18 months. Lol.

That sucks, you should've bought a new case. I had to replace mine on my n9 a few times.
I knew I was only going to be using it for another month or so, so wasn't worth buying another case. Of course if I had known spending $20 on a case would save me $200 on trade-in, I probably would have.

You're not going to be able to sell it for anywhere near what you'll get on trade-in. At the same time, you're not going to get an S24 any cheaper for awhlle. Probably July will be the next deals, and honestly probably not much better than these prices til Black Friday, if it's anything like the S23. The S22 had better deals but that's because it sucked and no one was buying.

Thanks. It sounds like the digitaltrends link is giving the extra $50 instant credit that people got for pre-registering with Samsung. You can also get the extra $50 instant credit by applying coupon code EUREK24 but the code only appears to work when you have more than $100 in accessories in your cart when buying the S24 Ultra or when you have more than $75 in accessories when buying thr S24+. The code basically increases the instant credit from $100 to $150 for the Ultra and from $75 to $125 for the Plus.
I also applied the EUREK24 coupon on top of whatever was given from the digitaltrends link. That was the coupon I found on wired.com. The digitaltrend discount and the EUREK24 coupon stacked.

I certainly haven't been trying to get $400. Not even close. I currently use a Note20 and have no issues with it at all. $600....hmmm.... Maybe I try to flip it?

I'll see if one of my kids can do the .edu...

Samsung doesn't actually check an education affiliation (for phones at least, heard they do for other products). Of course you should have a valid eligibility, but...

Ok then maybe the digitaltrends link only gave you the regular $100 instant credit and EUREK24 coupon code increased it to $150. I had the $150 instant credit since I pre-registered with Samsung and I tried applying code EUREK24 and even though the Samsung website said it was successfully applied, the instant credit stayed at $150.

Will hang onto my Note 10+ for now. I'm sure it'll fetch $400 for S25 or Z Fold 6.

Sorry, I actually entered referral code ref-gf8ff4, which is where the extra referral discount came from. It seems that code is no longer working.

I went through the steps again, and with the referral code, I was able to the get the subtotal to drop another $51. Also, I think my session state had some bug, because this time around I was able to use all the $150 credit.

Honestly, I'm just really confused. Ultimately, I was able to stack a promo discount, instant credits, education savings, bundle discount, trade-in, and a referral discount. I feel for the people at Samsung who work on cart and checkout.

I'm confused. You tried your original referral code and it didn't work but then you said "with the referral code, I was able to get the subtotal to drop another $51". So did you have another referral code? And how did you get one? I tried all the ones I could find online and I'm guessing they were single use so they didn't work.

Like I said in a previous response, I think Samsung purposely made this checkout confusing so you can't figure out how all the discounts were applied and if you're actually getting all of them.

Are there any deals for the regular S24? Don't like the bigger size of the Ultra or the Plus. Thanks

Referrals can only be used on a new account that hasn't made a purchase before, I believe. The codes should be able to be used by more than one person though, as the referral page only gives one code and it has a place for a list of people who used them. I've given them out for both my accounts but neither show any uses, except one shows a cancelled order. People keep pm'ing me saying that they don't work but I assume they must be using an account that is ineligible for referrals.

All of the same deals apply to all 3 versions, you just get less discount since the base price is less.
