To put this into perspective, a laptop is usually around 65 watts when using the power adapter.

I have no experience with this product, but another similar one with the same form factor. I would highly recommend a lighter socket male to lighter socket female extension cord. Depending on where your lighter socket is, this may not fit, and even if it does, it could be in the way and/or not stay in due to the weight of it.
