Sounds great. Treble is a bit sharp and emphasized out of the box, with recessed mids but you can tune it to your liking. Crystal clear speech with its center channel. Dolby Atmos is OK but nothing insane without surround speakers.

At this price, it's a no brainer if you want/need a really good soundbar that's super thin (but long) with a compact sub that has enough rumble and slam.

This is this item's page where you can download the instruction manual and firmware:

https://www.samsung.com/ca/suppor...#downloads

Only negative about this soundbar is that there's only 1 HDMI ARC input. No eARC, optical, or AUX/3.5mm.

Most importantly, how's it sound for those that have it?

I've had many brands, my prior Samsungs sounded "thin" to me, but I've not had a Samsung one to try in 5-6 years now. Looks small, and literally thin this time, so I wonder.

I got this on a previous deal. I think the sound is good for a sound bar, perhaps thinner than A nice stereo but this is a different animal. It enhances my media nicely.
I think the surround/.2 is kinda meh, but it does provide a nice 3d 3.1 soundscape.
Be aware of the limited input options, only HDMI ARC (no eARC IIRC) and Bluetooth.

Bought this from previous deal. "Teak bezel" is plastic teak color. If you jump on this deal 100% recommend purchasing the 9500s wireless rears. This greatly improves the setup and provides a better listening experience.

Jumped on it, thanks. Seems way easier to return to Walmart store if I don't like it than having to pay to ship back to buydig.

Saw this in Costco and compared it to the Sonos arc they had on demo display as well. The Samsung sounded a lot thinner, but the bass was decent if not better on the Samsung. Personally, I went with the Samsung 990c deal but that was also $800 vs this. The lack of ports and thin sound was not ideal for me.

How to make sure 'Extra Teak Bezel' is included? Customer service does not know anything about it.
Another issue. Tax is more than doubled. They probably calculate percentage from the full price. Does anybody else see the same issue?
No

I see Tax on full price. $40.36 in Ohio.
They applied the lower food sales tax to the order instead of regular. Bet they'll change it.

Thanks for the reply, I do not care at all about the physical size of the bar, so the thin design at the expense of sound quality is not for me I suppose. I know I'd prefer larger speakers in the soundbar, think I'll wait for something larger in design on sale.

Same here. Tax is being calculated on $597.99 price, adding an extra $25 for no reason. Not as slick of a deal with the extra tax.

If you like the format of soundbars, it's okay. If you want the best quality audio for about $300, then a set of Edifier 1280DBs with a Dayton Audio SUB-1000L (for small form) or a Jamo 810 or a Dayton Audio SUB-1200 (better performance) . Target price for the 1280dBS should be about $115. The sub should be about $150. They both frequently go on sale.

Set the sub to about 100Hz. Turn the gain up or down until it sounds like the bass is coking from the speakers. Turn the treble up ever so slightly above the zero mark. It's a nice little setup for the cash with optical input, Bluetooth connectivity, a remote, and a sub output, and the speakers are light enough for small wall mounts for a minimalist look if desired.

Can the recessed mids be fixed with tuning? From the previous threads it seemed that was a fatal flaw in this slim version.

I got this a couple of weeks ago with the deal from buydig. It has been great. It's even surprisingly tough. bar got knocked off my stand and bent the HDMI cable, which was totally my fault, but it was easy to replace still sounds like new. It stays connected well. I only once had to unplug it and plug it back in. Really impressed with it. But now I've gotta find those rear speakers at a discount.

I just got this exact soundbar about 2 weeks ago on here for the same price. My feedback is the soundbar is SUPER slim, you wonder if it's going to sound any good but I've been impressed with how loud it gets. Haven't cranked it all the way up yet as I haven't had to. The subwoofer while nice size is pretty underwhelming compared to my previous Vizio soundbar. I can't turn it up high enough and it's really only there to add that extra little bass to the voices and such, I am not too impressed with that aspect. My Vizio was much more punchy and I often had to turn it down a bit. As for the atmos aspect, I can't say I notice too much but that was the same with the Vizio. It's a solid soundbar and I still like it better than Vizio because the interface. I personally will never buy another Vizio product as their settings/app are really lacking in functionality and I've had two Vizio lemons that had to be exchanged for TVs. Back to the soundbar. For $250 it's definitely worth it, I wouldn't pay $500 or the $750 they show as the asking price. I tend to keep it on the adaptive setting because I would find commercials blaring and the show too quiet. The adaptive keeps it a little more centralized. That's my $0.02.
