Product Name: | Milwaukee M18 FUEL 3-1/2 in. 18-Volt 30-Degree Brushless Cordless Framing Nailer with Clear Anti Scratch Safety Glasses |
Product Description: | The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 30° Framing Nailer sets the new standard for cordless framing nailers. By leveraging a nitrogen spring mechanism, POWERSTATE brushless motor and REDLINK Intelligence, this nailer provides users with pneumatic performance and the convenience and freedom of cordless power. Delivering the power to sink full round head nails into dense engineered lumbers, this framing nailer enables users to tackle even the most demanding framing applications. To keep users productive and efficient throughout the day, the framing gun fires 3 nails per second with zero ramp-up time, meaning a nail is fired as soon as the user pulls the trigger. Additionally, the cordless framing nailer operates using only Milwaukee's REDLITHIUM Batteries (not included) and sealed compressed nitrogen to drive each nail, completely eliminating the cost of gas cartridges and maintenance associated with competitors' nailers. The M18 FUEL 30° Framing Nailer delivers the pneumatic performance and durability that professional carpenters and remodelers expect, without the hassle of a compressor and hose or gas cartridge. |

I prefer paper collated (30) over plastic (21) collated. The plastic collated nails leave bits of plastic all over the site and embedded with the nail heads.
The 30 is also a bit more compact to hold.
Can't go wrong with either. Unless your project specifically calls out 2-1/2" x 0.131 HDG smooth nails, as it might for attaching sheathing in CA. Can't get that specific nail in 30 deg for some reason.

How about getting it for me then? It's what Jesus would do.
Jesus would only get this for you if it were the 21 degree. Jesus knows what's up.
I literally LOL'D 😂
What's the reason for the 21 over the 30? This is my first nailer but it seems like the 30 would give you more access?
Find out what is more commonly used in your area. It's a regional thing. Where I am, 21 is the most commonly used and therefore what you can find nails for most in the store. The strips are collated with plastic vs paper and the heads can be different. If you're just getting it for a project here or there, you should be good with either.

For me it was better nail choices and cheaper.
The irony of you all talking about Jesus and nailers…
How did we miss that LOLOL! Hopefully he's got a sense of humor ..... 😅
