I don't have a room big enough for this tv but i would buy it if the edu discount worked at this price point just so I could say I got the big one lol!

Okay just got this for $2436 with tax included. I also paid with Chase and I get 5 points for every $ so that's about $120 worth of credit. ~$2300 for 83" is not bad. This goes in my garage.

There would be a lot of deals for previous generation.

I haven't heard of any big improvements in OLED this year. May be we will see MLA in 83+ sizes and other incremental improvements. But the new tech will also come with a bump in price, so these clearance deals are probably not going to get much cheaper.

But as a buyer, you are always confused ...
LG G4 83" has MLA for 2024. Assume will be $$$ tho.

So, 2449 is min price for epp discount then they find that you are not eligible for the discount. It was happening with my epp discount last month which was resulting in higher price than some of the users in slickdeals. Chatting with samsung rep didn't help. Today I was able to get the 2449 price and then I did chat to get another 10% off.

EDU Price: $3,499.99. Inaccurate description.

Also, I don't believe anyone who says they got "% off from a rep". I've been offered % off deals from Chat reps but these do not combine with EDU/EPP discounts.


Tiring dealing with Samsung.com. Prices constantly fluctuate extreme amounts. Bizarre that they need to have a price disparity of $1,000 between two similar discount programs. Be careful.

You pay with Chase Sapphire I think and get 5 points per $ spent. That's about 12180 points which is worth $120 by default.
