If you are comparing 77 vs 83
The 83 panel is the same one used by LG C3 and is manufactured by LG. So it is a W-OLED (with a lot of white light) instead of the QD-OLED which all the reviewers are using.
Almost everything that you read about Samsung OLED greatness/weakness does not apply to the 83 inch model. I also found out 83'' does not support 144Hz.
This is sad, and deceptive of these companies to use clearly inferior panels for the highest size and then keep the same model number.
There are no reviews or measurements I could find for the 83''. So I am kind of using LG C3 numbers, since they use the same panel.
As I started looking at C3 vs S90C, I realized, without MLA these panels are very different. There are many side by side comparisons between G3, C3 and S90C, but Samsungs were all QD-OLED panels.
Given my order is yet to ship, I canceled my 83 and replaced it with 77, so that I can get rid of all what if scenarios.
