These things are shit. A Fridge uses a compressor and can keep things at 34-38F, a Freezer can go down to 0F. This thing uses a Peltier chip and can only lower a certain amount below room temp.

Basically this will work to make things "cooler" than ambient, but not cold enough to be safe for items that can spoil. Your can of soda will be cooler, but milk or juices that could spoil will be a health risk

For this to not be a true refrigerator as you said it sure works better than the other standard mini fridge I currently had. It actually keeps things as cold as my kitchen refrigerator. Something that my mini fridge I've used for years haven't. Was probably one of the best finds at this price. I would definitely buy another one if it went on sale again.
