Funny story. Coworker of mine bought an enormous socket set like this while I was in the store with him. Back to his house, he laid out every single socket side-by-side just like the default photo. All on his coffee table. After he was done, he was proud and took a few pics of it. 5 minutes later, his dogs come barreling through and bang into the coffee table. Sockets go flying everywhere. Under the couch, everywhere. He never found all the pieces.
That was probably 10 years ago and he said that event basically trashed that set in his mind. It was never complete, since day 1, and has only gotten worse. 🤣🤣

I'm migrating my impacts to the Milwaukee impacts with the deeeep painted stamps. Nothing worse than being under a dark car and having no clue what size impact socket you're holding.

Even in normal lighting the GW sockets are hard to read
My order arrived yesterday. I am missing a few sockets and duplicates of others. Definitely go through and sort everything out. I contacted Gearwrench I hope they send me the replacements.

Maybe I am just a rough user, but the laser etching never stands the test of time for me on sockets like this. Dropping them, covering in oil, etc. These things get abused. Gear wrench makes good stuff and I love the stuff I have, but missed opportunity to not engrave them. Definitely a premium price point

The lesson here is that we should not have pets as they destroy our lives.

There's a YouTube video on how a guy uses yellow paint to make them stand out.
Might give that a try

Hilarious to buy entire new sockets instead of a 5 dollar light because you couldn't read a socket when changing your oil that one time
