Are these better than the Milwaukee snips?

Internet consensus seems that Wiss or Midwest are the way to go.

Much better. These are good, not quite Midwest quality but head and shoulders above Milwaukee. Get the offsets and save your knuckles.

Generally, yes.

I suggest staying away from the 'wezsnip' scissors. They're in a weird spot of being too unwieldy compared to normal utility shears (no loop handles) and not enough leverage compared to electrican's shears. Spring is in a crap location, too.

Saw a deal on a highly-rated snip tool and wanted to share:

About this item:

-Cuts straight and slight curves with yellow handles for quick identification
-Ergonomic, single handed latch operation for left or right handed use
-Precision cast molybdenum blades with conk ground edges and serrations for cutting low carbon, cold rolled 18 gauge steel
-Blade serrations spread cutting force across jaws improving cut quality and tool life
-Superior Design prevents tears at end of cuts by controlling blade bypass and minimizes folding and burrs
-Free float design on the pivot bolt provides longer life
Spring action for fast, effortless feed
-Handles have built in stops providing consistent operation and blade opening
-Ergonomic, single material non slip handle grips provide excellent control and easy cleaning with built in hang hole for convenient storage

Nah, you won't even remember this was posted. Besides, inevitably could be so far out that you can't find where you stuck it anyway.

I am gonna buy, but I know I'll never need it and down the road I'm gonna be pissed whenever I see it at the back of my junk drawer

Everyone should have a pair. These are the scissors you need when you get those god awful clamshell packages. Cuts them apart like butter

Im buying and justifying it as a "better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it" purchase...

Completely justifiable if you're a "Professional Homeower"

I did have to break out my cutoff wheel for a simple cut of some metal binding material the other week. This would have made it a 5sec cut.

I've had these Wiss snips for over a decade and they get constant use. Pretty much never for tin/aluminum but more for anything that is a pita to cut with scissors or a blade. Like a couple of the above posters said, it's my go to for plastic packaging.
