I'm pretty amazed they are still selling this after ten years. Only dewalt could sell a ten year old radio for this high. They released a replacement three or four years ago, but quickly discontinued it.
Instead of releasing an updated model, with updated Bluetooth and a battery port that accepts newer batteries, they just keep selling this old one.

I've had this for years. It's a great sound system. Im tempted to buy another one. Only thing I did was pull out the soft foam piece that secures the battery and glue in a harder foam piece. The battery stays put now no matter how much you bang it around.

as far as weight is concerned, well no f**king s**t. big speakers require big magnets. and durability requires a metal frame inside to keep it together. no one would buy it if it was light.
