Purina is having issues that they are not admitting to, yet. If your dogs get mysteriously sick (aka, vet can't find anything wrong) stop the food. Old bags have been fine, a lot of people opening new bags and dogs are getting sick in varying degrees, some die and it doesn't matter age, breed or sex. Just information, don't kill the messenger.
Symptoms are vomiting, lethargy and bloody diarrhea, among others. And it's not just Purina products.

'My dogs were 18 and 20 years old and they suddenly died 2 months after they suddenly got sick. Don't give your dogs kibble because they might die'

Some of those posts are just funny. People using Facebook don't seem to have very high IQ

I see you didn't bother to read very many posts, it would have taken much more time that it took to post your snide reply. This started back in May of 2023. Over 300 dead and a great many were young dogs, from puppies to 5-6 year olds in the prime of life.
Yes, there are the occasional crazy cat lady sounding people, but they are very rare and they are in every group. As this thing has snowballed the group went from 25k members to over 100k members because people are seeking answers as to why their dogs are getting sick and dying. They didn't find this group because their dogs were well. People are scared, their pets are sick and dying and until you walk in their shoes you shouldn't discount the concerns everyone is having right now. As of today the FDA is now officially involved. Still more to come.
Tainted food or not, most kibble is pure crap anyway. I still feed some, but it is high quality and changed often. I add a lot of home cooked and raw food too. Years ago when our previous dog started having seizures at 6 years old she was on Purina Hi-Pro. When they got really bad after a stint at a boarding kennel that did not give her her medication (went to one seizure a week instead of one a month) we switched her to a mostly raw diet. She went from one seizure a week to one after 17 weeks, then the next one was 18 weeks after that, the next another 19 weeks. Real food was the answer to her seizures. Had I completely stopped kibble, who knows, they may have stopped all together.
Look around at all the people who you know who have dogs. How many have cancer, tumors, pancreatitis, "allergies", "sensitive stomachs", "picky eaters". This is not normal. There are better foods out there and if you just have to feed kibble there are better ones out there with better ingredients. You have to educate yourself on reading labels. Learn about things like ingredient splitting. So much to learn if you are willing and want a dog who doesn't die young from some cancer or another. We have a new puppy who is a clean slate and is healthy, happy and full of life and we intend to try and keep her that way with real food.
If you choose to fall into the "my vet said this, or prescribed that" I feel sorry for your dogs. Vets do very little nutrition training, and the bulk of it is sponsored by Hills and Purina. They make money selling you "Prescription" diets (nothing prescription about or in them and low quality ingredients). They then make money treating your dogs illness that is often made worse by the terrible food they push Not every vet and not always knowingly because they don't study nutrition. They are great surgeons and fixers, but not nutritionists.
There are a lot of people out there that went through the ordeal of feeding what the vet said they needed and the dogs continued to get sicker and sicker until they finally switched to real food and the dogs suddenly are completely better. I've done it myself so I have no reason to doubt anyone else's history.

The best place for information on dog food and labels is here:
Dog Food Reviews [dogfoodreviews.com]
I suspect most of you won't like what you find when you search your favorite brand.
