It went off sale for a bit, and started again 3 days ago on January 26th. You could confirm for yourself if you actually went to the site and looked.

EDIT: I went ahead and added the dates of the sale, from 1/26-2/25 to the OP.

I wish SD had an aggregate feature where it bundled past deals and reviews so research would be easy as opposed to each posting being new. If memory serves me correct someone stated this monitor doesnt save user defined settings when switching inputs so the user has to manually reset custom settings if inputs are changed which may influence your descision.

As a computer monitor, this or a 40-43" 4K TV for about the same price or a little more?

I bought this yesterday from Costco, will be returning today. I bought for a work monitor. Hated it. The wide screen is too wide for work use

Was it just akward to view the wide screen or did the monitor distort the things you were working on?

If you are using a normal desk that has a depth of 30" or less (many are 25 inches), then you would likely feel like you are way too close. When you start getting above 32" monitors, they are almost all Ultra Wide for a reason.

Second, a lot of TV's don't recognize the off/on/sleep modes of your computer so you might have to turn it on or off each time.

Third, the setting/window positions/sizes can change each time, especially if you are using a laptop instead of a desktop.

Lastly, I have several OLED TV's and love them, and if it wasn't for burn-in potential, I could see using a smaller OLED as a monitor. But the cheaper TV's, especially the LED backlights without local dimming, tend to be much thicker and are lower quality than a decent monitor. Also, I think gaming is better on a decent monitor over a cheap TV that falls in this same price range.

All that being said, if you would not be sitting too close and the other issues aren't deal breakers, I would likely go with the TV. I have ordered a 96" x 40" desk and might buy a 48"-55" TV for my personal computer to go next to the two 34" Acers that I use for work and have on the Huanuo extension arms. It would give the added benefit that I can use it as a TV when I am working. My current desk is 48" x 24" and even a regular 32" that is not Ultra Wide would be borderline too tall and close to my face. My wife actually has 2 LG 32" UHD monitors in her home office, so I can speak from experience. However, her desk is deeper than my current one, so it isn't too bad.

One last thing. If you buy the monitor from Costco, you have their warranty backing it. Any TV you buy, even from Costco, would have the standard warranty.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I tried the 35" costco LG and returned it because it had a pretty bad screen door effect on the sides and a very annoying buzzing noise.
I actually picked up the Acer in this topic at the warehouse today and it's lower in price, and doesn't have as much of the issues that I mentioned. I would go with the Acer if you had to choose between the two.

My experience is different. Side by side is great.

Agreed. Except for certain applications such as Excel, photo editing, etc, then i am using side by side. Also, for those who aren't aware, if you press and hold the window key and then press whichever arrow key you want, then the window will go to that side of the screen. Its a lot faster than using the mouse.

It has both the ambient multicolor lighting, and speakers. The speakers are nothing to brag about. I think my laptop speakers are slightly better.

Could you elaborate? I'm currently using 2, 27 inches side by side and hate how far I've got to turn my head to see everything, but I also need the space while working in multiple programs.

This is in clearance at my local Costco for $249.97. Still too high for me. I'd try it at $200.
