It went off sale for a bit, and started again 3 days ago on January 26th. You could confirm for yourself if you actually went to the site and looked.
EDIT: I went ahead and added the dates of the sale, from 1/26-2/25 to the OP.
Second, a lot of TV's don't recognize the off/on/sleep modes of your computer so you might have to turn it on or off each time.
Third, the setting/window positions/sizes can change each time, especially if you are using a laptop instead of a desktop.
Lastly, I have several OLED TV's and love them, and if it wasn't for burn-in potential, I could see using a smaller OLED as a monitor. But the cheaper TV's, especially the LED backlights without local dimming, tend to be much thicker and are lower quality than a decent monitor. Also, I think gaming is better on a decent monitor over a cheap TV that falls in this same price range.
All that being said, if you would not be sitting too close and the other issues aren't deal breakers, I would likely go with the TV. I have ordered a 96" x 40" desk and might buy a 48"-55" TV for my personal computer to go next to the two 34" Acers that I use for work and have on the Huanuo extension arms. It would give the added benefit that I can use it as a TV when I am working. My current desk is 48" x 24" and even a regular 32" that is not Ultra Wide would be borderline too tall and close to my face. My wife actually has 2 LG 32" UHD monitors in her home office, so I can speak from experience. However, her desk is deeper than my current one, so it isn't too bad.
One last thing. If you buy the monitor from Costco, you have their warranty backing it. Any TV you buy, even from Costco, would have the standard warranty.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

I actually picked up the Acer in this topic at the warehouse today and it's lower in price, and doesn't have as much of the issues that I mentioned. I would go with the Acer if you had to choose between the two.
Seems like it does have speakers but unsure of ambient lighting on back of display ?
