Was thinking of switching back to bar soap so might give this a shot. Interestingly enough there is no almond in the ingredients list for the almond and oat bar despite one over the top review boasting about the benefits of the almonds in it.

27 limit. I like to buy 100 at a time. Too bad lavender has such a low limit. Oatmeal is the worst one, which is why it's always on sale.

Yardley isn't what it used to be 20 yrs ago, when it wasn't made in the US. Everything was cheapened, but it's still a good soap for the price on sale.
It's strong enough to remove skin grease, but doesn't dry out your skin and if it's not oatmeal or charcoal, then it smells really good, too.

Do you know for a fact that the quality has degraded? How are you measuring that? Cheaper or different ingredients or different manufacturering locations don't necessarily mean a lower quality or less effective product. If there's a change in a subjective aspect like fragrance, it's especially hard to say how that impacts quality.

I thought Yardley was a British brand. My parents and grandparents from Asia (former British colony) talk about Yardley soap fondly. It's been around for a while.

Bc I've been using Yardley for 20 yrs and have bought almost every variety including rare stuff on eBay. It was very noticeable when production shifted. I noticed it seemed to have less oil and creaminess. Later, I checked the boxes and it all made sense.

Yardley brand is now owned by an Indian company called Wipro.
